Inaugurated in 1997, the mission of the Corporate Scholars Program of the
UCSF Molecular Design Institute is to foster exchange of views and information
with professionals from pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
Molecular design impacts, and is impacted by, a broad range of scientific
disciplines in drug discovery and development. The Program organizes
public forums to address scientific areas that are new or moving quickly
in support of the field. The Program also provides advanced postgraduate
education for professionals from a small group of member companies.
Interdisciplinary research opportunities are available through the Institute.
We envision that the Program will foster long term relationships of industry
professionals, their sponsoring companies, and UCSF faculty.
