Building on strengths of UCSF
in molecular design, medicinal chemistry, molecular biology and academic
and clinical medicine, the faculty of the Molecular Design Institute of
the School of Pharmacy at the University
of California San Francisco bridges academic disciplines and departments
and includes distinguished industry members.
Welcome
from the Founder
The Institute provides a multidisciplinary
organization for research groups working on macromolecular structure and
molecular design and is an administrative home for large scale collaborative
projects aimed at infectious disease, cancer and parasitology including
NIH Program Project Grants in "Structural
Biology and Targeted Drug Design for AIDS" and "Proteases
in Cancer"
This unique Program fosters long term relationships
of scientists from industry, their sponsoring companies, and UCSF faculty.
The Institute hosts scientific seminars and
conferences to facilitate exchange of views and information at UCSF by
pharmaceutical and biotechnology professionals. Upcoming events are
posted.
